BPA MAP v/s Vedic Maths
BPA MAP is a skill development program for the children in the age group of 5-13 in primary and middle schools.
Undertaking this program will supplement in Academics and help children to Excel in All Subjects.
Whereas studying Vedic Maths is to gather more knowledge about mathematics – one of the subjects in curriculum
All individuals can become a BPA MAP Trainer and academic qualification in Maths is not a must। Children in primary school can undergo BPA MAP and do not need to memorize anything। Whereas individuals, teaching vedic maths should be a qualified maths teacher and students should know the basics, principles and concepts of mathematics। Students need to memorize all the formulae। For handling vedic maths there are prerequisites and for learning BPA MAP the only factor required is interest।
More than 1000 children participated from various schools. 50 prizes were distributed. The school winning more number of prizes was given a trophy

Brain Power Academy mental Arithmetic Program (BPAMAP) is for LIFETIME SKILLS and not subject oriented. For the typewriter, alphabets like asdfgf, etc.are being used This does not mean that it will help learning English. It will help learning to type word, sentence, paragraph, etc. after sometime to type even without seeing the typewriter.Generally the typists will not commit any spelling mistakes. Infact, only they can learn shorthand easily. All these are possible because they use finger tips of both hands with same pressure. Using both hands with same pressure, will definitely help whole brain development It may be interesting to note that normally children, who could not continue their education because of their low marks in schools, are forced to join the typewriting institutes to become atleast typists. Because of their poor academic qualification, they may be able reach only upto the level of secretary in an organisation.But, they will be having all the details in their finger tips than the Boss.
In our program, we use abacus. For operating this, we need a tool like alphabets, so we use numbers. But, the numbers are shown as pictures,i.e. place value of the beads. The picturisation of numbers will improve right brain, which is a creative brain. So, it may be noted that Mathemtics as subject is not taught, but the program will definitely help to get good marks in all the subjects including Mathematics Also for holding the abacus, moving the beads, we use both hands with same pressure which helps whole brain development. We also use Flash Cards, containing the picture of beads' position (place value) of the numbers on one side and the exact numbers on the other side. Showing the flash cards and asking the children to write the numbers shown as place value of the beads, will improve their observation skill. It is amazing to note that the bright students as branded by the teachers may not get all the answers correctly, but the average student may, because of his good observation. By encouraging him then and there, will definitely boost his confidence and coupled with daily practice with abacus will help him to score good marks in all the subjects in a short time.
Unlike the typists, regular practice with abacus, the children will definitely achieve their goals both in academics and their career.
On the whole, the Mental Arithmetic Program using abacus is for the whole brain development particularly right brain which is the SEAT OF INTELLIGENCE
